Love is in the air!

This time I had the privilege of helping my cousin with her wedding. I may have taken over instead of just helping....maybe I even went so far as to plan the rehearsal dinner.....oops.

Britni and Ryan found the perfect location for their wedding......Stone Creek Inn in Rockmart, Georgia.  The inn offered a causal country setting with just the right about of elegance for a wedding.
Surrounded by acres of lush green fields, a love bird theme seemed most appropriate for the rehearsal dinner.

Basic white linens set the perfect base for the bold floral runners. With the theme set as...Love Birds... I set out to find the perfect birdhouses to use as centerpieces. I knew I wanted the bird houses to be old and worn looking and all keeping within the same color pallet.....blue, green, white, and rusty metal.

For the centerpiece for the bride and groom's table, I selected a white birdhouse and added crystal knobs for a touch of elegance.

To create variations in height and pops of color, I used Old Reader's Digest Condensed Books. Potted ivy and yellow flowers in old milk glass bud vases added touches of nature to each table. The final touch to each centerpiece was two carefully placed birds.

Since the bride had decided that table assignments would make it easier on the guests, I created these handmade place cards and added a blue printed paper birds to each one. The perfect touch to each place seating.

The tables were set with glass plates, wine glasses, and polished silver flatware.  I absolutely LOVE setting a formal table...outside!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LOVE BIRDS....the now MR. & MRS. RYAN BASSETT
